Hydroventuri is an innovative Clean Technology Company that is able to apply its unique core aeration technology into the Wastewater Treatment, Groundwater Remediation, Hydropower and Industrial Gas Transfer sectors.
A spin-out technology business from Imperial College London, Hydroventuri has so far focused on ensuring the robustness of it’s’ core technology and the advancement of its’ patent portfolio. Following successful demonstration in a number of applications the company is now rapidly moving into technology commercialisation via a licensing, or rental/tolling business model, according to application; initially via strategic relationships with major industrials, utilities and regulatory bodies around the world.
In 2007, Hydroventuri received an award under the prestigious Shell Springboard Programme for ‘Innovation in Addressing Climate Change’ from the potential shown into extending its patented technology platforms into the hydro-energy sectors; and the Company was also voted as one of the hottest European clean tech companies in the ‘2008 Guardian/Library House CleanTech Top 100’.
In February 2010 the UK’s Technology Strategy Board along with key sponsors such as BP, chose HydroVenturi out of over 150 organisations to represent the best of the UK’s clean technology sector at the Global Clean Technology annual Forum and showcase in San Francisco.
Now based in South Wales, United Kingdom and with a satellite business established in Delaware USA, the company is funded through private equity from a number of sources including Porton Capital, Synergis Technology Funds and Imperial Innovations PLC.
