Mike Faram - Chief Technology Officer
Mike joined Hydroventuri in June 2010 as Chief Technology Officer. As a Chartered Engineer and Water and Environmental Manager, Mike has extensive experience in the development and taking to market of innovative water process technologies, having previously been Group Technical Manager at Hydro International plc where he was responsible for product development, technical support and intellectual property management. His work has resulted in the delivery of numerous commercially successful, value-adding products, many of which have been the subject of patents.
In support of his work, Mike has been an active participant among industry professional communities, establishing strong national and international water sector insights and forging relationships and developing credibility with key stakeholders. This has been supported with the presentation of a significant volume of technical papers, which has served to foster an awareness and acceptance of novel solutions to water-environmental challenges at a number of levels. He has collaborated extensively with academia and has been extremely successful in procuring government grants towards this as well as in-house development activity.
Mike has a PhD from Cardiff University and an MBA from Loughborough University. He is a member of CIWEM’s Wastewater Management panel and has served as an occasional lecturer, marker and examiner for post-graduate qualifications of relevance to his expertise.
Prior to embarking on a career in the water-environment sector in the late 1990’s, Mike gained exposure in the manufacturing, aerospace, mining and oil and gas industries, primarily from a technology perspective.
