
A qualified civil engineer and graduate of INSEAD business schools’ Advanced Management Programme, and with a highly successful track record of having grown a number of businesses from startup to exit and in becoming market leaders in the energy and environmental technology sectors, Harvey is on the board of a number of the UK’s leading clean technology companies. As an investor, developer and operator he has been active in the UK and European energy, water and waste sectors since 1990 and has main board positions with utility organizations such as Hyder Industrial, United Utilities Green Energy and Acciona Energia UK.
More broadly he is experienced in working with key stakeholders and has held a number of public appointments and UK energy industry-wide strategic positions that reflect and contribute to this experience; having served during his career on bodies such as the UK Business Council for Sustainable Energy, the DTI’s Renewable Energy Advisory Committee and as Chairman of the Technical Advisory Group on Infrastructure – which advised on all major infrastructure projects utilising the European Structural Funds programme in Wales, UK.
