Hydroventuri - Power

Hydroelectric power accounts for nearly 20 percent of the world's electrical energy and about 10 percent of the electrical energy generated in the United States. Unfortunately, low dissolved oxygen (DO) concentrations are a significant and common water quality problem downstream of such hydropower facilities.

With it's unique ability to aerate high volume and velocity flows, Hydroventuri's technology can drive performance efficiencies and the meeting of environmental compliance in hydropower plants. It can also be used to unlock untapped hydro resources such as low head assets or water storage reservoirs, as a genuine and significant market for electricity production. Furthermore, Hydroventuri can be applied to the cooling of thermal power station plants, owing to its capacity for large volume mass transfer. This unique ability can help better regulate Oxygen content and thermal gradients in receiving waters.

Hydropower: to drive clean energy output gains from hydropower generation assets by improving the oxygen condition of reservoir discharges and to ensure greater regulatory compliance at lowest capital cost for older plants, or plants seeking re-licensing.

Air Cooling: to continuously cool large volumes of hot air (as well as treat contaminated flows) emerging from biomass or fossil fuel power stations, where capital intensive systems or power driven forced ventilation typically represent the lowest cost incumbent technologies.
